TRANSFORMATION Courage

Sometimes even to live is an act of courage ~ Lucius Annaeus Seneca.

My life in a variety of colours

Often times there are some folk who will keep looking as to whether the grass is "greener" on the other side. And that's ok...
Allow me to elaborate ~
My grass is seldom green, I have no appeal for the neighbours either, nor the manicured ones...
All in all I have a great positive spiritual life, and am happy with my lot...However, no one is free from pain and discomfort, and I also fit into that category...what is category?..Doctors say so...mmm
When one has been ill for as many years as I have seen, we arrive to the word not 'green', but rather 'courageous'...and this is how it goes....
Perhaps I'm not home for anyone.... No, I don't answer the phone.... nor answer the door...
The only comfort to find is lying in bed without a book, without a television,  and preferably in the dark...
Do I like it?...Oh no, not at all...but I'm so overwhelmingly tired...and I haven't even done anything to make it so...
Besides my comforts, my family and friends, including dog ~ I have 3 screens at home - a huge TV, a desktop, and a laptop...my "companions" for life. Well certainly at times when the chips are down...Often on a daily basis...
Is this really it?  Oh no ~ how boring, stifling, repetitive...
All so not me. All so not what I desire. Everything I never had TIME for in the past. No objectives to attain a goal...Only on a daily basis, as with meditation and spiritual aspiration...
The goal is PATIENCE and PEACE,
and be content with that.

Dear Nora,
Firstly, thank you for asking me for my thoughts on your latest posting. Honoured. Secondly, I think agree wholeheartedly that transformation does require courage. Thirdly, I think you have indeed been and are courageous. And here courage is of a different order, innerly, and yes spiritually too, one and the same things. The most obvious courage on display, one that need tribute paying to it, is that you have consciously or otherwise, have been courageous to hold a mirror up to yourself. To stare and reflect where some, if not most, turn away taking illusion of some spiritual self-perception as comfort. You are walking straight to it, looking it in the eye. That is what I found so powerful when you spoke about being alone in the dark. No book and yet there is a book. The book of your life, you read it not by the optic nerve but by the eye of self-reflection, contemplation. There is courage. In my experience and understanding, such self-encountering is crucial. New meanings come to light and for I went to a point and beyond where I became an objective observer of my life, my entire life as much as my memory and imagination would permit, and where it would not permit any more I reached for a far more ancient memory. The observer of all my "lives" - Soul.

I am touched, moved & humbled by your courageous honesty. Whatever the challenges and difficulties I hope you travel this road/journey in peace. (see quote from Plotinus below). Finally, I was contemplating a thought earlier this evening, something I had considered before, but it become more alive for me. I was going to tweet it, but held back. But receiving this gift of reflection from you I will tweet it shortly. It is : "some problems cannot be solved, solving is not the issue, some problems are only to be dissolved. As like ice in water" That's the gjist of it anyhow.

I hope few thoughts mean something. And as you asked me, I ask you for feedback.

If you are interested, I know you love your solitude, but if you are interested I would love to talk with you. Are you skype? My skype id simply my name "musaaskari" United Kingdom.

Alll my best wishes,
Musa
